Who We Are and Our History
We are a sisterhood committed to lovingly support our music community and each other.
The Dayton Alumnae Chapter was chartered on May 1, 1959 with Wanda Stofer as organizational chairman and Province President.
We have assisted in installing SAI Collegiate Chapters at the University of Dayton, Wright State University, and Miami University, furthered the music therapy program at the Dayton Mental health Center, participated in Dayton Art Institute concerts, contributed to the Bold Note Music Project, performed musicales at local assisted living and retirement facilities, awarded yearly scholarships to UD Delta Sigma Chapter members, and initiated Dr. Richard Benedum, Mr. Daniel Greene, Mr. Jim McCutcheon, Mrs. Gloria Pugh, Dr. William Steinhort, Dr. Damon Sink, Mr. John Neely, and Mr. Larry Stofer as a distinguished "Friend of the Arts."
We, also, like to have "sister" fun!
